Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System

PLEASE TRY TO INSTALL OUR WAY FIRST

1 Begin by placing the vehicle on a lift or 4 jack stands if needed so you can work safely under the vehicle.

2 Unboltthefactorymuferusingthe15mmsocketandremovethemuferfromthevehicle.Toaidinthe

removal presoak the bolt and nut as well as the rubber bushings.

3 Nextpresoakandusingthe15mmsocketloosentheclampattheendofthefactorydownpipeandre-

move the factory midpipe. Save all the rubber hanger bushings as they will be reused.

4 Now it is time to start installing your new cat back system. Begin by installing the new tail pipe reusing

the factory mount locations and rubber hanger bushings.

5 InstalltheM-80muferusing2oftheHVC21clamps.DONOTTIGHTENATTHISTIME.

6 The mid-pipe is next. We left extra length on this pipe for your convenience. Carefully measure from the

endofthefactorydownpipetothemuferaddingenoughtoaccountforthemid-pipeslippingoverthefactory

downpipeandintothemufersonottocausealeak.Fourdoorownersonlyslighttrimmingmaybeneeded.

Twodoorownerswillcutsignicantlymoreoff.RememberMeasurethreetimesandcutonce.

7 OnceyouhavetrimmedorcutthemidpipetolengthinstallitalongwiththethirdHVC21Clampandthe

HJJ010 hanger clamp. Note not all vehicles will use the HJJ010 hanger clamp. It is designed as extra support for

the midpipe and installs at the hanger location just behind the factory midpipe. If this clamp interferes with your

transfer case DO NOT USE THE Clamp.

8 Nowthatyouhaveallthecomponentslooselyinstalledyoucanstartmakingadjustmentstoalignthe

system. Once you are happy with the alignment tighten all the clamps. Air tools for this step are highly recom-

mended.

9 Lastly start your vehicle and check for leaks. It is not uncommon to see condensation coming from the

reliefcutsinthepipefortherstfewhundredmiles.Doublecheckallclampsfortightnessaftertherstweekof

driving.
